Rally Buddy
A co-driver for everyday roads.
Mark the passing lanes, residential zones and tight corners on the roads you drive. While you drive, Rally Buddy watches your position and calls each one out before you reach it, the way a rally co-driver reads pace notes: Tight corner in 450 meters.

How it works
- Mark what matters. Tap a big button as you pass a feature, or scan a planned route and confirm what Rally Buddy finds: corners from the road's geometry, residential zones and passing lanes from OpenStreetMap.
- Drive. The drive screen is a full-screen, heading-up map with your speed and the next callout.
- Listen. Callouts are spoken ahead of time and briefly lower your music, so your eyes stay on the road.
Features
Planned routesTap waypoints on a map; the path snaps to real roads.
Loop generatorPick a start and a distance and get three loop drives on curvy, paved, quiet roads.
Turn-by-turnSpoken directions along planned routes, with off-route detection and rerouting.
CarPlayThe map, route, feature markers and one-tap marking on the car's screen.
Offline mapsDownload an area or a corridor around a route and drive with no signal.
Route sharingAirDrop a route with every feature along it; duplicates are skipped on import.
Co-driver scriptsLinked pace notes for a route (
Tightens after the crest, then clear to pass), written once at home and replayed offline. Optionally written by Claude with your own API key.
Explorer's MapAn optional parchment map style, with a compass rose and a dotted trail route.
Privacy
- No account and no Rally Buddy server: your marked features and routes are stored on your iPhone.
- Location permission is "While Using the App". During a drive, location keeps updating with the screen off so callouts still arrive.
- Maps, route snapping, loop generation and feature detection use Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap services over the internet; downloaded offline areas need no connection.
- AI pace notes are optional and use your own Claude API key, kept in your iPhone's Keychain. Generating a script sends that route's features to Anthropic; without a key, a built-in template writes the notes on the phone.
